Assitant Manager- Procurement

Job Description Purchase Operations
•Should synchronize & optimize the Inbound & Outbound logistics network thereby ensuring timely & cost effective transits.
•Should meet the raw material purchase needs from domestic/global market also interacting with the customs authorities.
•Proficient in networking with domestic and overseas suppliers.
•Ensure accuracy and timelines of RMPM procurement data.
•Ensure that RMPM procurement is completed on time.

Vendor Management
•Effective selection of vendors after assessment and evaluation of the manufacturing and quality standards.
•Responsibly approving the terms with the vendors with respect to price, quality & quantity standards.
•Inspecting and ensuring the materials supplied by the vendors confirm to the quality and quantify the requirements communicated initially.
•Alternate source identification/vendor development.

Logistics/Freight Management
•Effective Negotiation and control on freight terms
•Control on credit notes emerging out of shortages & damages in transit.
•Establish policies & system on process improvement & dispatch planning.
•Networking with the transportation agencies for obtaining cost effective transport solutions.
•Managing inventory of raw materials and equipments and disposing the scrap for curbing inventory carrying posts.

Operational Planning
•Material requirement planning and procurement of raw material & packaging material as per forecast.
•Overall planning for smooth functioning of operations by efficient management & coordination of procurement, demand forecasting & production planning functions and ensure adherence to key supply chain planning process.
•Responsible for tracking & adherence to the supply chain metrics related to customer service levels , inventory management and procurement.
•Responsible for providing materials overview for operations review meetings with customer.
•Provide inputs for Annual Business Planning processes based on Supply Chain performance.
•Purchase receipt & other inbounds, strictly as per procurement norms and adherence of legal documentation & requirements.
•Periodic recommendations of optimization of Supply chain based on previous trends & escalation of critical issues to the senior management.
•Periodically revise inventory norms based on changing business scenarios & implement the same.
 

Desired Candidate's Profile

Profile The ideal candidate will be providing managerial support for all procurement needs & strengthen the exisiting team to meet the increasing complexity of operations and improve overall material availability.
Experience 8 - 10 years
Education Basic - Any Graduation , PG - MBA/PG Diploma in Business Mgmt
Nationality Indian
Gender Male
