MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Planning
• Recommend yearly marketing, sales, operating and overhead budgets for review and approval of the management and prudently manage organization's resources within the budget guidelines and according to policies.
• Propose pricing structures for various channels and recommend to the management
Marketing
• Anticipate the needs and wants of consumers and satisfy these more effectively than competitors
• Study characteristics of various market segments, focusing on number of variables that may differ among the segments
• Seek & continuously develop knowledge about competitors' activity, pricing, tactics, relative strengths and weaknesses
• Conduct product launch and promotion activities
New Product Development
• Provide appropriate inputs to management for development of new product and work closely with product department to ensure that products meet market needs.
Business development
• Drive business growth through identification & penetration of new market segments.
• Explore new business opportunities and expand market base with new customers.
Key Account Management
• Identify key/institutional accounts, penetrate and retain them to secure profitable business.
• Maintain strong relationship with key decision makers and buyers. Give product presentations to their relevant team members appraising them of the brand superiority
Sales Management
• Identifying opportunities within the assigned territories for further business development scope
• Assign territories and set targets for all members. Conduct periodic meetings to review performance.
• Ensure optimum market coverage; enhance width of distribution & product mix.
• Organizing joint sale calls and attending them with distributors.
• Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements
• Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers
• Operate on minimal market risks and timely collection of receivables
• Effectively manage price control within the retail chain in the assigned territories.
• Ensure proper and timely merchandise at all sales points.
• Keeping data base of potential distributor candidate companies on standby for future use.
• Provide leadership in a manner that the whole team is committed to meet and exceed targets.
• Preparation of department’s sales forecast, annual budget and sales analysis
Exports
• Explore overseas markets, identify suitable importers and appoint Distributors on assessment of their capabilities to meet corporate objectives.
• Guide the distributors to perform in a professional manner in areas of orders forecast, inventories, distribution, market coverage, retailing, merchandising & product visibility
KEY DELIVERABLES
• Develop sales & marketing strategies to penetrate untapped / virgin segments within the assigned territory and achieve annual targets in the existing marketing base.
• Achieving Sales targets
• Expansion of channel partners network
• Ensuring to achieve the target sales from respective key accounts/ distribution partners.
• Ensure timely collection of payments.
• Developing sales plans, annual budgets and forecast to provide quarterly and monthly reports to senior management.
• Generate timely MIS and market intelligence reports |
