Our client is a leading Financial Institution based in Bahrain; they are looking for a ldquoGeneral Councilrdquo with the following requirements: bull Candidate must be degree qualified, B.Sc. in Law or an equivalent degree bull Higher degree or specialized certificates will be an added advantage bull Main Duties and Responsibilities will be as the following: middot Identifying, managing and mitigating of legal risk issues across the firm middot Ensuring that the firm complies with legislation, regulation and the requirements of professional bodies and other organizations, including interpreting the effect on the firm of any proposed changes to legislation middot Providing preventative legal guidance and risk training to the firm middot Making recommendations/drafting formal legal responses to issues middot Keeping abreast of commercial law changes and drafting best practice notes on topical issues for use across the firm middot Providing legal support in relation to the entering into of contracts with the firmrsquos clients (including client engagement letters and business tenders) Assisting with the development of team and firm wide legal and risk strategy, as appropriate Region: Any Region |
