Job Profile
The IT Manager role is expected to advise the hospital management on information technology and how systems can be maximized, actively overseeing the development of new systems design implementation; directs the development, compilation, maintenance, and documentation of computer monitor systems, vendor-supplied packaged programs, macros, utilities, data communications programs, and other highly technical programs. Provides guidance to the systems, programming, and operation staff in the solution of hardware/software related problems; establishment of new patient database, setting up of hospital network, and keeping the management updated on progress.
Qualifications and Experience
Master’s Degree in Information Technology along with 10 years of IT experience, of which 5 years must be served in a management role of a JCIA-accredited hospital.
Demonstrable knowledge of system development methods used for the development of new systems and enhancements to existing information systems; thorough knowledge of advanced concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software. |
