Job Purpose -

To manage accountancy functions accurately and efficiently. Assist in the day-to-day running of the Accounts Office. Correct, process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices, departmental billings, employee reimbursements, receipts, vendor statements, journal voucher, review and code financial. Keep and maintain records of all daily transactions.

Responsibilities -

1. Receive and process all invoices, purchase orders, expense forms and requests for payment;
2. Verify calculations and input codes in to the Oracle (ERP) system in an accurate manner;
3. Maintain and reconcile the Direct Debit mandates;
4. Deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis;
5. Ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner;
6. Prepare cheques for payment;
7. Perform accounts payable functions. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll;
8. Assist in managing vendor accounts, generate weekly cheques;
9. Ensure compliance with accounting deadlines;
10. Report on variances in monthly costing reports;
11. Prepare monthly company accounts and reports;
12. Monitor and record company expenses;
13. Prepare and maintain daily and forecast cash flow;
14. Assist in preparation of annual budget;
15. Prepare documents and schedules required by external auditor;
16. Prepare and complete monthly Bank Reconciliation statement on the 2nd of each month and submit for review;
17. Communicate and follow up banking transactions;
18. Performs related work as assigned;
19. Ensure daily cash banking;
20. Monitor credit card transactions on daily basis;
21. Booking of daily sales in the system and prepare daily reconciliation;
22. Verify the discounts on daily basis with the supporting documents attached.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Education :

Bachelor of Commerce
Fresher’s/On Visit Candidates also can apply for the job

Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.

Skills & Professional Requirements:

1. Strong Word and Excel skills are required along with computerized accounting software;
2. Knowledge and Proficiency with general ledger and accounts payable and automated accounting systems and other financial applications, especially spreadsheet and database software;
3. Must be computer literate and proven experience with PC windows based accounting systems running on a network;
4. Need to be able to perform calculations using percentages and decimals;
5. Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping terminology and practices;
6. Must be able to file information accurately, keep records confidential, type effectively and meet tight deadlines;
7. Knowledge of general record keeping and filing systems;
8. Ability to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness;
9. Ability to understand and apply current accounting guidelines, system updates and revisions, and policy changes;
10. Ability to determine work priorities;
11. Ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions;
12. Ability to meet schedules and deadlines of the work area;
13. Good Verbal & written communication skills.
