Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, tailored for the local market.
  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring all entries are accurate and in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns and other tax-related documents, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud, considering local business practices.
  • Manage and reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and analysis to management.
  • Coordinate and support the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and information to auditors.
  • Stay updated on changes in UAE accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of UAE accounting principles.
  • Holds a professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent, demonstrating professional competence.
  • Has a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting, with specific experience in the UAE market.
  • Demonstrates fluency in both Arabic and English, enabling effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Exhibits proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar, for efficient data management.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
