Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.

• Manage the company s budget preparation and monitor expenditures against budgetary constraints.
• Reconcile accounts, detect discrepancies and resolve them efficiently to maintain accuracy.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes to prepare for audits and reporting.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial processes and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide financial advice and assist in decision-making regarding cost-reduction strategies.
• Liaise with auditors and provide the necessary documentation and information for audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information, safeguarding it from unauthorized access.
• Stay updated with financial best practices and industry standards to continuously improve procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial forecasts and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred for higher-level responsibilities.
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role in the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards required for financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial management software like QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
