Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Process month and end year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity, etc
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Maintain the financial health of the organization
• Correspond with other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
