An Accountant plays a crucial role in an organization by managing its financial records and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information. Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies in all financial reporting.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, preparing all audit schedules and necessary documentation.
• Develop and manage financial systems to improve accuracy in data capture and reporting.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.
• Perform variance analysis to understand deviations from budgets and forecasts.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely cash flow management.
• Collaborate with departments to support budgeting and effective financial decision-making.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain a ledger to ensure all financial transactions are recorded.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed financial analyses.
