About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the Company's accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a startup or SME environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
Maintain the general ledger, reconciliations, and accounting records.
Coordinate and prepare schedules required for external audits and ensure audit readiness.
Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and cash management.
Ensure compliance with UAE accounting, VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the Bookkeeping Clerk to maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Maintain accurate inventory valuation and cost accounting records.
Prepare management reports and financial insights to support business decisions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup, SME, retail, manufacturing, F&B, or consumer goods environment.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, audit preparation, and financial controls.
Experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing accounting.
Experience managing accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar.
Ability to work independently, establish accounting processes, and meet deadlines without reliance on a large finance team.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience preparing companies for external audit and liaising with auditors.
