Accountant

Role Accountabilities:
• Preparation and filling of Value Added Tax (VAT) Return
• Responsible for ensuring complete compliance with VAT laws when preparing the monthly VAT Returns
• Ensuring the amount filed in the Return matches with the company books and all supporting documents are kept for audit trail
• Ensuring the Return is filled within the timeframe defined by the legislation and any queries by the Authorities are responded to immediately
• Being upto date with all the changes to the VAT regulations
• Accuracy of Balance Sheet
• Monthly review of all Balance Sheet schedules and clearing of aged items
• Monthly Black Line General Ledger Review
• Resolution of issues with Global Business Shared Services (GBS)
• Costing of Products sourced from NZ and Third Party
• Periodic updation of standard costs and freight of products sourced from NZ and third party in the ERP system
• Investigation and resolution of differences between the final invoice and the purchase orders
• Providing standard costs to the planning team for building budgeting and forecasting
• Monitoring of actual costs and commenting on the variations versus Latest Estimates
• Fixed Assets Management
• Submission of yearly forecasting Capex requirement to NZ
• Ensuring timely completion of E Capex requests for any new asset and capitalisation is according to the IFRS guideline and NZ policies
• Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the Fixed Asset register
• Annual Physical verification of Fixed Assets and providing proposal for write offs if any
• Master Data Set Ups
• Master date set ups for all the new Items created
• Responsible for any changes to the Master data of existing items including samples
• Selling, General & Administration (SG&A) Expense Management
• Review and analysis of the reported SG&A expense (excluding payroll and doubtful debts provision)
• Preparation of SG&A forecasts for next 12 months as part of IBP cycle
• Month End Journals
• Responsible for preparing month end journals relating to all the above areas.
