Duties and Responsibilities

Record and reconcile all money deposited in drop box by cashiers.
Count and verify money in cashier envelopes.
Prepare bank deposit slips for security escort service.
Count own House Bank daily and properly account for all disbursements made there from.
Prepare daily House Bank statement.
Prepare General Cashiers daily reports.
Issue floats to cashiers as authorized, keep relevant records and monitor overall float position.
Prepare monthly petty cash report for reimbursement.
Handle all foreign exchange receipts for banking.
Maintain adequate supplies of outlet dockets and other stationery for cashiers.
Liaise with security services as necessary.
Maintain a record of cashier discrepancies for investigation and follow up.
Spot counting the Outlet cashiers drawers all receipts, coupons and checks need to be accounted for and balanced with their daily sales.
Handle all foreign exchange receipts for banking.
Monitor foreign exchange rates weekly to ensure that the hotel’s rates are appropriate.
Assist with distribution of month end reports as directed by accountant.
Attend meetings as required.
Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
Comply with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures.
Responsible of all Payments.
Responsible of Payroll.
Maintaining leave, air ticket and gratuity provision.
Maintaining all deductions of deduction of employees.
Making leave & gratuity settlement of employees.
Analyzing payroll expenses with budget.
Keeping all financial records of each employee.
Analyzing payroll related expenses.
Making payroll analysis month to date & year to date.
Keeping records of each employee’s visa & air ticket expenses.
Preparation of monthly Payroll.
Allocating all employees proposed expenses to provision.
Liaison with Auditors & Guests.
Responsible for proper maintenance of all accounts payable ledger.
Daily function includes check non creditors payment such as utility bills, medical bills and M tax payment and ensured accurate and timely settlement.
Ensure all the purchases during an accounting period are all accounted for through creditor’s ledger or accruals.
Reconcile all unresolved items with the supplier and ensure at all times accounts payable ledger agrees to the vendor statements and the aging analysis.
Check the daily receiving reports with LPO, delivery note and much the invoices received and check the arithmetical accuracy.
Responsible for processing and timely payment of the cheque requests, manual cheques, supplier cheques and contract payments.
Balance supplier monthly statement and bring all the unsettled difference to the notice of finance manager.
Maintain adequate up to date files for paid and unpaid records.
Provides reports as required by Financial Controller or Finance Management.

Desired Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years experience as Accountant with 3 – 5 star hotels
• With good communication skills, English both oral and written
• Knowledge in Scala / sun software.
• Knowledge in the operation of telex,
• Facsimile or computer
• Familiarity in Back Office System
• Typing skills, proficiency in Windows- Excel & Word
• Proficiency in Written and Oral Communication
• Attentive to details
