Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

Record daily accounting transactions (invoices, payments, receipts, journal entries) directly in Odoo ERP.
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation within the system.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes using Odoo.
Ensure proper classification and recording of financial transactions.

Payables & Receivables

Process supplier invoices and manage payment cycles through Odoo.
Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
Perform reconciliations of suppliers and clients.
Maintain updated aging reports extracted from Odoo.

Bank & Cash Management

Perform regular bank reconciliations using Odoo tools.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Support monitoring of cash flow and financial movements.

Project & Cost Accounting

Track and allocate project-related costs within Odoo (materials, subcontractors, production).
Assist in monitoring budgets and identifying variances.
Support cost control across multiple projects.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in VAT filings.
Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records.
Support preparation of financial reports and audit documentation.

Systems & Process (Odoo Focus)

Act as a key user of Odoo ERP for all accounting operations.
Ensure proper configuration and use of accounting modules within Odoo.
Contribute to improving financial processes, automation, and reporting efficiency within the system.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience within the UAE is preferred.
Exposure to project-based, manufacturing, fit-out, or events environments is an advantage.
Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (Accounting module).

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Solid experience in Accounts Payable, Receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Advanced working knowledge of Odoo ERP is required.
Ability to extract reports, troubleshoot entries, and optimize workflows within Odoo.
