Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Finance professional with a strong background in the car rental industry. The ideal candidate will manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide insights that support growth. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (and similar tools) is required.

  • Manage full accounting cycle including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor fleet depreciation, vehicle financing, leasing, and insurance costs.
  • Track rental revenues, commissions, and customer accounts.
  • Oversee payroll, employee expense claims, and statutory deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT, and other government reporting.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for management.
  • Maintain cash flow and liquidity reports to support business operations.
  • Reconcile and audit daily rental transactions and point-of-sale systems.
  • Develop internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, or misuse of company assets.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
  • Assist management in making data-driven financial decisions.
  • Generate detailed fleet utilization and cost-efficiency reports.
  • Handle fixed asset management and coordinate asset disposal/sale when vehicles are rotated.
  • Ensure proper accounting for insurance claims and damages.
  • Implement and improve accounting systems/software (QuickBooks and others).
  • Support expansion projects with financial analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Provide regular financial insights to support strategic planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • English & Arabic speaker only
  • Proven accounting & finance experience in the car rental industry (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other ERP/accounting systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
