Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Verify financial figures, postings, and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintain organized and secure financial records, files, cash, and cash equivalents
- Record, store, and analyze financial data using accounting systems and spreadsheets
- Classify, code, and summarize financial transactions in journals and ledgers
- Prepare and distribute accounting, financial, payroll, and audit-related reports
- Support period-end closing activities and required financial reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and issue invoices, bills, and account statements as per procedures
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and vendor invoices until resolution
- Coordinate accounting tasks with other hotel departments to meet deadlines
- Ensure compliance with company policies, confidentiality standards, and internal controls
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders using professional language
- Support team objectives and maintain positive working relationships
Ideal Profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and office software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
