Job Title: Accountant / Finance Executive Location: Al Ain, United Arab Emirates Type: Full-time | On-site About Roots Boutique Roots Boutique is a growing floral and gifting concept born in Al Ain — built on creativity, precision, and trust. As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for an Accountant who combines technical accuracy with initiative, capable of managing day-to-day financial operations while constantly seeking smarter, more efficient ways of working. Role Overview This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment, takes ownership of financial accuracy, and is eager to go beyond basic bookkeeping. You will be responsible for managing budgets, inventory, supplier and bank relations, daily reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. You’ll also be the key point of contact for our external auditors, ensuring all financial documentation and reports are complete, compliant, and ready for review. Key Responsibilities Maintain daily bookkeeping, ensuring all sales, purchases, and expenses are accurately recorded. Oversee daily shift closing procedures, including cash, POS, and bank reconciliations. Manage inventory tracking, ensuring accuracy between system and physical counts. Monitor and control budgets, expenses, and cost efficiency across operations. Handle supplier accounts, including statement reconciliation, payment scheduling, and negotiations for better terms. Liaise with bank representatives and account managers regarding payments, transfers, and account queries. Process monthly payroll through WPS, and maintain related records. Oversee POS network transactions, ensuring all systems and gateways are aligned with accounting entries. Prepare and maintain all documentation required for VAT and Corporate Tax audits, including coordination with external auditors and submission of supporting records. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings with accuracy and timeliness. Identify and recommend improvements in processes, systems, and vendor management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in retail, F&B, or small business operations in the UAE. Solid knowledge of inventory management, budgeting, reconciliation, VAT, and Corporate Tax (CT). Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or Zoho preferred). Familiarity with UAE banking and WPS systems. Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
