Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the academic programs, curriculum implementation, teacher coordination, and ensuring academic excellence across all grade levels. The role involves curriculum planning, faculty support, monitoring student progress, and maintaining academic standards aligned with the school's vision and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Planning & Curriculum Implementation:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the school’s curriculum in alignment with educational standards.
  • Coordinate curriculum mapping, lesson planning, and academic calendar planning.
  • Ensure that teaching strategies support student learning outcomes and cater to diverse learning needs.

Teacher Coordination & Support:

  • Provide academic leadership and mentoring to teachers across all subjects and grades.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Organize professional development workshops, training sessions, and orientation programs.

Assessment & Evaluation:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of assessment strategies (formative and summative).
  • Analyze student performance data and recommend interventions or enrichment as required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of student academic progress to parents and school management.

Academic Administration:

  • Maintain academic records, schedules, timetables, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Liaise with examination boards and ensure compliance with all academic regulations.
  • Coordinate parent-teacher meetings and academic events (science fairs, exhibitions, etc.).

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Research and integrate new teaching methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Promote best practices in pedagogy and ensure continuous improvement in academic delivery.
