Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical history reviews, physical examinations, and TCM diagnostic methods (pulse and tongue diagnosis) to determine the root cause of ailments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and other TCM modalities, tailoring each session to the patient's specific needs and health goals.
  • Administer acupuncture treatments with precision and safety, ensuring proper needle insertion techniques, depth, and angle, while closely monitoring patient responses and comfort levels.
  • Educate patients on TCM principles, including lifestyle modifications, dietary recommendations, and herbal remedies, empowering them to actively participate in their healing process.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) or Master of Science in Acupuncture (MSAc) degree from an accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in TCM principles and practices.

  • Hold a valid and current Acupuncture license from the Department of Health (DOH) in the relevant jurisdiction, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed acupuncturist, showcasing practical experience in treating a diverse range of conditions and patient populations.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in various acupuncture techniques, including traditional acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture, and auricular acupuncture, providing versatility in treatment approaches.
