SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing a broad range of administrative, technical, and clerical duties
In support of a department’s operations. Duties generally consist of moderately complex,
Misc. projects, which may require use of independent judgment and initiative.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Completes special projects, performing necessary research and data collection, as assigned.
Compiles statistics, data, and other supporting documentation and information necessary to complete assigned projects; may perform routine analysis.
Prepares reports or studies on a regular basis regarding department’s operations. Acts as information source on organizational policies and procedures.
Establishes and maintains files and records related to department business ensuring company policy is followed.
Reviews/audits documents and other work received by the department for completeness and adherence to guidelines. Takes corrective action, as necessary. Prepares, processes, and tracks department paperwork.
Uses a computer to enter, update, and download data, maintain records, and generate correspondence, documents, and reports.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma
May require 3-4 years administrative assistance experience or related department support experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General office skills, including ability to operate a computer and enter data accurately;
Ability to maintain files and records; and ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
Experience working with Word and Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
May require the ability to create mathematical formulas for use with Excel spreadsheets.
