Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As the Aftersales Leader, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day performance of a skilled team of Field Service Engineers and Internal Aftermarket Sales staff. Your mission is to maximise uptime for customers, increase aftermarket revenue streams, and ensure a world-class customer experience throughout the lifecycle of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Service Engineers and Internal Sales Coordinators.
- Oversee all aftersales activities including service, repairs, commissioning, warranty, and spare parts.
- Drive growth in aftermarket revenue through service contracts, upgrades, retrofit opportunities and spare parts.
- Ensure efficient planning, scheduling, and deployment of field engineering resources.
- Monitor KPIs including response time, first-time fix rate, customer satisfaction, and service profitability.
- Implement continuous improvement across service operations, processes, safety and customer experience.
- Work closely with global engineering, production and sales teams on technical escalations and product feedback.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, reporting, and operational performance metrics.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, audits, and industry events.
About You
- Proven experience leading service/aftersales teams in a mechanical engineering or capital equipment environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery, rotating equipment, automation, process, packaging, precision engineering or similar.
- Confident team leader with the ability to motivate engineers and sales staff.
- Commercial mindset with experience driving aftermarket revenue.
- Strong organisational, planning, and customer-focused mentality.
- Hands-on, problem-solving attitude with excellent communication skills.
