Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Operate the telephone switchboard to answer calls. Process guest requests for wake-up calls, caller ID, and other requests related to making or receiving calls. Inform guests of any messages (e.g., voicemail, email, faxes) received and forward them to their rooms upon request. Answer, log, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns. Receive, log, and forward messages accurately, completely, and legibly. Record all guest requests or problems on the computer, contact the appropriate person or department (e.g., Bellhop, Housekeeping), and follow up with the guest to ensure their request is satisfactorily resolved. Provide guests with information about room features, hotel amenities, and local points of interest. Assist guests with internet access. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager. Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company property. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and attend to their service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communicate with others using clear and professional language and answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team in achieving common goals. Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time or throughout the workday. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a General Educational Development (GED) program.
