Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Farm & crop management

  • Oversee daily farm operations with a focus on date palm cultivation and health management

  • Conduct routine monitoring of plant health, identifying early signs of stress, nutrient deficiencies, pest activity or disease

  • Support the application of fertilization treatments in line with agronomic guidelines and schedules

Irrigation system oversight

  • Carry out regular inspections of irrigation and fertilization systems to ensure correct and efficient operation

  • Monitor irrigation performance across all zones and promptly flag any faults, blockages or inefficiencies

  • Track and record water usage data to support operational reporting and resource management

Reporting & documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of field observations, operational activities and water use on a daily basis

  • Submit daily operational updates and agronomic observations to the agronomy team in a clear and timely manner

  • Follow established operational protocols consistently across all monitoring and reporting activities

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in date palm management — mandatory

  • Practical background in farm or agricultural field operations

  • Working knowledge of irrigation and fertilization systems and basic crop management principles

  • Ability to conduct field inspections, collect observational data and adhere to operational protocols

  • Basic computer proficiency for logging and reporting field data

  • Strong attention to detail with a reliable and consistent approach to daily tasks

  • Comfortable working outdoors in field-based agricultural environments across varying site conditions
