Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive plant nutrition programs, tailoring them to specific crop needs and soil conditions to maximize yields.

  • Conduct field trials and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of various fertilizers, nutrient management strategies, and soil amendments, providing data-driven recommendations.

  • Analyse soil samples, plant tissue, and water samples to diagnose nutrient deficiencies, toxicities, and imbalances, ensuring optimal plant health.

  • Provide expert advice on fertiliser selection, application methods, and timing, optimising nutrient use efficiency and minimising environmental impact.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Nutrition, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on plant physiology and nutrient management.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in agronomy or plant nutrition, with a proven track record of successful crop management.

  • Proven experience in conducting field trials, analysing data, and developing recommendations based on scientific principles.

  • Experience with various soil testing methods, landscaping or agricultural projects is preferred and interpretation of results, providing a strong understanding of soil health and good knowledge of fertilisers( organic and chemical)

  • Strong understanding of soil science and plant nutrition

  • Knowledge of NPK and micro nutrients

  • Experience in soil testing and fertiliser recommendations
