Analytics and Insights Officer - Skywards The Emirates Group

Job Purpose

As an Analytics and Insights Officer, your role is to guide and collaborate with the Data Analytics Team in creating and enabling Data Assets to support Business Intelligence (BI) and story telling with data. You will play a pivotal role in engaging and managing stakeholders, assessing data requirements aligned with business objectives, & leading initiatives to promote the value of Data Assets.

Your analytical capability will be utilised to generate actionable insights to support data-driven decision making within the organisation. Additionally, you will ensure efficient data governance in line with best practices, while coaching and supporting team members to reach their full potential within the team.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with relevant business departments to assess, gather and document Data Asset requirements that are aligned with business objectives.
• Engage and manage a group of stakeholders collecting & validating requirements that enable prioritisation of projects.
• Manage and provide visibility of on-going projects to the leadership with appropriate recommendations or action plans.
• Seek data inspirational examples that can showcased & celebrated to inspire & support business areas better utilise available data.
• Guide and support the team to work alongside the business to promote the capability of data assets & supporting adoption.
• Help steer initiatives that will enable the business to gain value from new projects and data assets created by the team.
• Have a passion to share knowledge and coach team to reach and surpass its potential within the business and actively pursue tasks and objectives to achieve this goal.
• Supervise planning & prioritisation of requirement delivery within scope of assigned duties.
• Execute and support in the creation of data assets through development, testing or analysis.
• Identify source, prepare, and maintain data required for Data Assets and Analytics projects or initiatives.
• Actively promote data management best practices through support the business complies to corporate Data Governance policies.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics or a data driven environment.
• Qualification relevant to data analytics.
• Bachelor Degree in a relevant field.

You will have an edge if you have:

• Travel, Aviation, Tourism and Cargo industry experience advantageous
• Experience working with data assets that support a business need.
• Understanding of how data is sourced and managed in a business environment.
• Knowledge and experience of languages such as SQL, Python, R, and BI tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy.
• Knowledge and experience of visualisation best practise & enablement of data storytelling.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with project management principles and techniques
