Android Developer

We are looking to hire a talented Android Developer to design, build, and maintain the next generation of Android applications. Your primary focus will be developing high-end Android applications for the latest Android mobile devices. Your duties may include collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.
Android Developer Responsibilities:
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

More than 3 years

B.S. in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years experience with full life cycle Android application development and publishing Android apps in the play store.
• Knowledge about Java/ Kotlin, collections, algorithms and well-known application frameworks.
• Design and build advanced, scalable applications for the Android platform.
• Understand the use cases and can translate them into technical solutions.
• Firm understanding of API design and Integrate with our backend services (JSON, REST, etc.).
• Experience developing integrations with common APIs (e.g., Firebase).
• Own end-to-end process from the requirement of going live.
• Design and review code, troubleshoot and act as a consultant to team members on technical matters.
• Unit-test code including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Experience with GIS applications (e.g., Applications based on maps like Uber, Careem ...etc.).
• Experience using Git in a team.
