Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot, and ReactJS microservices for payment processing systems.
  • Implement and enhance ISO 8583 message parsers, builders, and handlers.
  • Develop solutions for Acquiring and Issuing payment flows, including authorization, clearing, and settlement.
  • Work closely with business analysts and payment product teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
  • Integrate with third-party payment networks, gateways, and switches using ISO 8583 protocols.
  • Ensure secure and compliant handling of cardholder data, adhering to PCI-DSS standards.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and assist in continuous integration and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve payment transaction issues in production environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Security) to deliver robust payment solutions.
  • Stay updated with payment industry trends, standards, and regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Strong experience in Java development, particularly with Spring Boot framework.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 8583 messaging standard, including message types, fields, and processing flows.
  • Hands-on experience in payment systems, including Acquiring(merchant acquiring) and Issuing (card issuing) processes.
  • Familiarity with payment transaction lifecycle: authorization, capture, clearing, and settlement.
  • Experience working with payment switches, gateways, or processors.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and message queue technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
