• Build department and company image by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external guests including leadership team and colleagues
• Establish and maintain communication lines intra and inter-departmentally
• Collaborate with executive leadership team to implement necessary changes as time goes on
• Assist with determining weather-related closures and any emergency procedures with leadership team
• Responsible for the overall running and operations of the aquatic facility
• Establish the Operations Department Strategy and develop strategic plan by studying industry, technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives
• Set policies and procedures to help department and business achieve goals
• Accomplish objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results measurements; allocating resources;
reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections
• Responsible for department s planning, risk management by creating and implementing risk management
protocol and verify compliance within set standard operating procedures, health and safety standards and other rules and regulations, audit guidelines, etc.
• Ensure that facilities are clean and free of hazards at all times and the quality of programs is maintained
• Increase Operation s leadership team effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling and disciplining them; communicating values, strategies and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering
information and opinions ; providing learning and development opportunities
• Responsible for creating/development, organizing and implementing aquatic programs, special events and other assigned programs including initiation of promotional opportunities and materials for events and programs
• Oversee the management of lifeguard certification process (certification, training, in-services a d record keeping) by providing training programs for new and existing colleagues and ensure that job expectations, job training, duties and responsibilities are communicated and that they are providing quality guest service at all times
• Conduct training, coaching, performance evaluations, appraisals where necessary for the business and Team
• Responsible for department s discipline, recognition, training and development and succession plan
• Drive Operations Department Leadership to meet Key Performance Indicators and Strategic Plan Objectives
• Motivate the Operations team to meet KPIs, Guest Satisfaction, Co league Satisfaction and safety standards

Data Entry / Operations / Back Office Processing

Desired Candidate Profile

* To be considered for this role, you will need:
• Bachelor s Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Aquatics Sport Management, Sports Management or other relevant field
• International Lifeguard Training Program Instructor or similar experience in another lifeguard program
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO)/ Aquatic Facility Operation (AFO) Certification
• International Lifeguard Training Program Instructor Trainer
• Greater than five years leadership experience in waterpark or other leisure industry
• Previous lifeguard experience/certification
• Previous guest/customer service experience
• Greater than ten years leadership experience in waterpark operations
• Experience with aquatic safety, liability, and risk management practices
• Experience managing aquatic programs and aquatic mechanical operations
• Previous budgeting experience for aquatic facilities maintenance and purchasing equipment
