Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, translating ideas into innovative architectural designs.
  • Develop detailed architectural plans and 3D models using advanced design software, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
  • Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to assess project viability, incorporating environmental and regulatory considerations.
  • Prepare and present design proposals to clients, addressing feedback and making necessary adjustments to meet expectations.
  • Work closely with engineers and other professionals to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into designs.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements throughout the design process.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Conduct post-occupancy evaluations to gather feedback on design effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into design practices.
  • Mentor junior designers and interns, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth within the firm.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field is essential; a master's degree is preferred for advanced positions.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in architectural design, demonstrating a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Professional license or certification (e.g., NCARB, LEED) is highly desirable, showcasing commitment to industry standards.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, or institutional architecture, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainable design principles to ensure compliance and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present ideas and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, essential for addressing design challenges and optimizing project outcomes.
  • A keen eye for detail and aesthetics, ensuring that all designs are both functional and visually appealing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
