Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Architectural Draftsman is responsible for producing accurate architectural drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation in compliance with UAE authority requirements and project specifications. The role supports the Design team in delivering technical drawing packages for villa and building construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using AutoCAD.

  • Produce shop drawings and as-built drawings in coordination with site teams and consultants.

  • Interpret design intent from concept drawings and translate into construction-ready documentation.

  • Coordinate with BIM Modelers to ensure drawing consistency and alignment with 3D models.

  • Ensure all drawings comply with UAE local authority standards (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.).

  • Manage drawing revisions and maintain updated drawing registers.

  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams for drawing submissions and approvals.


Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Drafting, or related field.

  • 5–8 years of experience with a Tier 1 contractor in UAE including 2–5 years on villa/building construction projects.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); Revit/BIM knowledge is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with UAE authority submission processes and local building codes.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing packages simultaneously.
