Roles & Responsibilities

We are currently hiring one of our top-tier oil & gas clients for their prestigious Unconventional Drilling projects based in Abu Dhabi UAE

We are seeking experienced VFD Specialist - Variable Frequency Drive

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long-term, high-profile project with a globally recognized oilfield leader.

Client: Confidential

Project Location: Ruwais, Abu Dhabi

Contract Duration: 3 Years

Rotation: 6 Weeks ON / 3 Weeks OFF

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot VSD control panels for MPP pump systems.

• Configure drive parameters and optimize performance based on field conditions and fluid properties.

• Interface with SCADA, instrumentation, and remote monitoring systems.

• Collaborate with field engineers and technicians during pump startup, shutdown, and transient conditions.

• Assist in system commissioning, FAT/SAT, and field integration with temporary or permanent production facilities.

• Follow all safety protocols related to high-voltage systems and rotating equipment.

• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and provide feedback for performance analysis.

• Support root cause analysis and failure investigations, if required



Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Production Engineering (or related field).

We are seeking experienced VSD Specialists to support the operation and monitoring of Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control panels used for running Multiphase Pumps (MPPs) in a dynamic well testing environment. The role is critical for ensuring optimal performance, safe operation, and reliability of electric-driven artificial lift systems.
