Roles & Responsibilities

We are hiring on behalf of our prestigious client, ARCA Technologies, for the position of Assembly Technician to support production through mechanical and electrical assembly, manual soldering, battery pack connections, and basic electrical testing. The role requires strict adherence to SOPs, assembly drawings, quality checklists, ESD standards, safety protocols, and battery-handling procedures, while meeting defined production targets.

  • Perform manual soldering of wires, terminals, connectors, and PCBs as per work instructions.
  • Carry out mechanical assembly of parts, housings, fixtures, and sub-assemblies.
  • Assemble and connect battery packs, terminals, and wiring, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Work with low-voltage DC systems (typically 5V–28V DC).
  • Use hand tools safely, including screwdrivers, torque tools, crimpers, cutters, and pliers.
  • Perform cable preparation including stripping, crimping, and insulation.
  • Conduct basic electrical checks using a multimeter, including continuity testing and voltage testing.
  • Identify and correct issues such as soldering defects, loose connections, and mechanical misalignment.
  • Follow SOPs, assembly drawings, and quality checklists precisely.
  • Comply with ESD requirements, safety procedures, and battery-handling procedures at all times.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations in line with 5S.
  • Support rework, modifications, and production targets as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in soldering and mechanical/electrical assembly.
  • Good soldering skills (through-hole / wire soldering).
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly and fasteners.
  • Understanding of battery connections and DC polarity.
  • Basic DC voltage and continuity measurement skills (multimeter).
  • Familiarity with hand tools and assembly practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
