Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The job will entail the following responsibilities and duties:
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Resolve financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions (Bank, control accounts, etc.).
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
- Reconcile bank statements by comparing transactions to the general ledger.
- Assist with the Finance department s day-to-day operations, including filing, report generation, budget review, etc.
- Process the monthly payroll accurately and timely.
- Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Stay current on industry trends, and best accounting and audit practices.
- Ensure accuracy of financial information.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance with ACCA Affiliate.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial accounting or auditing.
- Strong understanding of Accounting and Auditing Standards, local regulations, VAT.
- Understanding of audit methodologies and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills, and time management skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortability and flexibility in working in a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of accounting software (Sage 50, Zoho, Quickbooks).
- Accuracy and attention to minute details.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
- Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
