Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements by reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy in financial data.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes by processing invoices and tracking payments, ensuring timely collections.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process by gathering financial data and assisting in variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Prepare and process payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors for smooth audits.
  • Utilize accounting software to record and analyze financial transactions, generating reports that provide insights to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency in financial operations.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in daily banking activities, providing insights on liquidity and funding needs.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to best practices in the field.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, providing foundational knowledge in financial principles.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial operations.
  • Certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred, showcasing commitment to professional development and expertise in accounting.
  • Experience in the industry of finance, manufacturing, or retail is a plus, enabling familiarity with sector-specific accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems, essential for efficient financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends, allowing for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and present financial information.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion of work.
