Roles & Responsibilities

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Our hotels bring people together. We re searching for an Assistant Banquet Manager capable of juggling bookings, building strong client relationships and pulling together truly unforgettable events, meetings and conferences.
Every day is different at IHG, but you ll mostly be:
  • Lead the team in daily banquet operations, ensuring efficient event setups and optimal staffing.
  • Manage, coach, and develop your team through regular feedback and performance reviews.
  • Train staff to meet company standards and comply with all regulations.
  • Support HR processes, including performance management and development.
  • Participate in Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to share updates and plan for upcoming events.
  • Liase with guests to ensure expectations are exceeded.

What We need from you:
  • 4+ years related experience, including managing a conference & events/ banquets operation; or with large scale F&B supervisory experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong leadership, problem solving in a fast pace, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
  • Able to carry out multiple tasks and responsibilities at the same time, think fast work- related problems and come up with immediate solutions, remain composed even under the strictest of conditions, enforce the standards and policies of the restaurant on other members of staff.
  • Love of working in a fast-paced and motivated team with a desire to take the next step in your career
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional administrative and time-management skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and learn new things
