Job Description
This Assistant Credit Manager role at Accor in Dubai supports the Cluster Director of Finance in evaluating customer creditworthiness, managing credit limits, reducing financial risks, and ensuring timely collections. The position analyzes financial data, maintains accurate credit files, supports credit approvals, and collaborates with sales, finance, and operations teams to safeguard cash flow and minimize bad debt.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze customer credit applications, financial statements, credit reports, and payment history
- Assist in determining suitable credit limits and terms based on detailed risk assessments
- Monitor credit performance and escalate anomalies or emerging risks
- Support new customer account setup and credit approval processes
- Review AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
- Coordinate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment delays
- Recommend appropriate actions on high-risk accounts including holds, collections, or negotiations
- Contribute toward monthly cash collection targets
- Identify credit risks and propose proactive mitigation strategies
- Maintain accurate credit files, documentation, and periodic credit limit reviews
- Prepare regular credit exposure reports, overdue summaries, and collection status updates
- Assist in developing and implementing updated credit policies and procedures
- Support audits by providing necessary credit documents and reconciliations
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to support order processing and resolve disputes efficiently
