The Role of Assistant Director of Finance:
We currently have some exciting opportunities within Europe for experienced Assistant Directors of Finance to join our team!
This role reports to the property Director of Finance and is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of the Accounting office and assisting the Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the hotel s operation; ensuring that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed and that you are continuously striving for improvement of processes and efficiency.
Responsibilities will include assisting the Director of Finance in financial management and maximizing the performance of the business, Forecasting/Budgeting, team leadership and development, ensuring adequate internal controls, monitoring and controlling expenses of the hotel, reporting, tax returns, preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries, maintaining reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, and coordinating and facilitating external and internal audits.
Our Ideal Assistant Director of Finance candidate will have:
Our ideal Assistant Director of Finance will have at least 1.5 years of experience in a similar position within a hotel/resort environment, a University Degree, working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and job knowledge of all positions in Accounting, Purchasing and Food & Beverage control. Residential experience is advantageous, and you should have current work authorization to work in Europe.
You will have the highest level of integrity and transparency, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams, the ability to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings, and a desire to promote a continuous learning environment that creates an atmosphere for professional development opportunities.
