The Assiant General Manager is required to assist the General Manager in achieving optimal client and patient satisfaction and fostering a good working environment to attain all set objectives. As second in
command to the General Manager, the main purpose of the Deputy General Manager will be to manage, coordinate and organize the hospital food services operation. You will be involved in all aspects of the management account, budgeting and forecasting.
The Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manager with innovative solutions to continually upgrade the services to the Patients and their Guests. The Deputy General Manager will have overall
responsibility for managing the Facility assigned in the absence of the General Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
• Controls and analyses the level of sales, costs, food quality and service standards on a daily basis in the cafeteria, patient food services and event and banquet departments
• Reviews menus as proposed by the Head Chef and food utilization based on quantity, nutritional value, popularity and cost for the cafeteria, patient food services and event and
banquet departments
• Monitors and maintains cleanliness of the cafeteria, event and banquet locations and floor pantries at all times
• Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality and customer service
• In conjunction with the Marketing & Business Development Manager, preparation and execution of a comprehensive annual hospitality marketing plan for the facility
• Responsible and accountable for the financial performance of the operations department.
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding budgetary and agreed performance targets of the operating departments
• Adheres to FASSCO s health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) policy and procedures
• Ensures that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, upholding the local and international best practices and FASSCO standards
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Minimum Requirement:
• At least 4-6 years experience working in a similar position in the luxury hospitality segment is a must, 1-2 years Healthcare hospitality experience is desirable
• Previous experience in high quality food service operations and administration with a track
• Bachelor s Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or Equivalent is required.
• Advance Hygiene Certificate is preferred
