Department Definition
The Governance Department is responsible for ensuring that policies, procedures and delegation levels are developed and reviewed on a periodic basis in line with the evolution of Expo programme requirements. The team works closely with the various Expo Departments to identify opportunities to streamline processes across the organization, with the core objective of facilitating progress and decision making within a framework of effective and efficient controls
Opportunity Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager - Governance will be responsible for the supporting the Governance Department to ensure that policies, procedures and delegation levels across the programme are optimized to drive programme progress. The Assistant Manager - Governance will actively use transactional data to assess opportunities for process efficiency and identify and recommend changes to process based on the evolution of the Expo Programme.
Main responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the Event Time Governance Model, and the Event Time Support Function operating model;
- Oversee the development of policies, procedures, delegation of authorities, terms of reference, mandates for the overall governance of the programme as required;
- Review and challenge existing policies, procedures and delegations of authorities to identify efficiency opportunities in line with the evolution of the organization, and as identified during the Expo readiness phase;
- Coordinate with internal Departments and provide project management support for any initiatives undertaken by the Governance team;
- Work closely with various Departments to identify upcoming governance requirements and then facilitate delivery of the same;
- Assist and resolve Governance queries and concerns from various internal stakeholders;
- Support with project managing the implementation of various governance initiatives as required;
- Support the governance team with other activities as required, including reporting related to governance projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

4+ years relevant experience as well as:
- A Bachelors Degree with in a relevant field;
- Complete own work to the required quality standards and deliver work on time;
- Proactive with a strong sense for processes and procedures;
- Sense for integrity and confidentiality;
- Have attention to detail;
- Generate ideas, think creatively and develop innovative solutions;
- Handle multiple priorities at any one time.
