Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Coordinate import shipments with forwarders and customs to meet delivery timelines (Sea: within 5 days, Air: within 3 days).
  • Plan alternate shipping lines and direct sailings for EXW/FOB shipments to minimize transit time.
  • Ensure timely release of PR for logistics charges and posting of GRN for forwarder payments.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays.
  • Negotiate competitive sea and air freight rates with forwarders and transporters.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize logistics spend.
  • Prevent demurrage, port storage, and container detention charges through proactive planning.
  • Secure adequate free time at destination ports for EXW/FOB shipments.
  • Monitor logistics costs and prepare cost analysis reports.
  • Coordinate with customs authorities and MOIAT for duty exemptions and regulatory compliance.
  • Verify supplier invoices against GRN and ensure accuracy before payment processing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with logistics vendors for smooth operations.
  • Track Goods-in-Transit (GIT) accurately and share updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Support ERP enhancements related to logistics operations, reporting, and automation.
  • Propose and implement at least one process improvement or space optimization initiative per quarter.
  • Support logistics digitalization and system-driven tracking initiatives.
  • Plan vehicle allocation and dispatch schedules for deliveries to project sites.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and project teams for timely material loading.
  • Monitor transporter performance, delivery timelines, and route optimization.
  • Track in-transit deliveries and manage delivery-related escalations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation including delivery notes, GRNs, and proof of delivery.
  • Maintain transport logs, vendor bills, and logistics cost reports.
  • Ensure proper packaging, handling, and safety compliance during material transportation.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal logistics procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s in supply chain, Logistics, or relevant discipline
  • 8–10 years in logistics roles
  • Manufacturing or Distribution-heavy businesses (Preferred industry )
  • Knowledge of local transportation laws and heavy vehicle logistics is preferred
