Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Incumbent will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process for all medical consumable goods. And will be responsible for negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures, and optimizing costs while maintaining quality standards.


  • Own and lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for medical consumables, from requisition to timely delivery, ensuring strict adherence to organizational policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategically identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors; build strong, long-term supplier partnerships to ensure reliability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
  • Prepare and process Manual Purchase Orders for asset and non-standard procurement requirements with accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner closely with Accounts and Finance teams to facilitate vendor registration, resolve payment-related issues, and ensure smooth financial closures.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, volume leverage, and continuous process improvements,
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with unit heads, stores, clinics, hospitals, doctors, and supply chain teams to align procurement strategies with operational and clinical needs.
  • Ensure full compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, and applicable healthcare regulations at all times.
  • Identify inefficiencies within procurement workflows and lead initiatives to enhance process efficiency, turnaround time, and service levels.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain functions, with demonstrated ownership of sourcing and purchasing activities.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector (hospitals, clinics, medical supply organizations) is strongly preferred, with exposure to medical consumables procurement considered an advantage.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and management presentations; hands-on experience with Oracle ERP or similar procurement systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, operations, finance, and supply chain teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and timelines.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and process-focused, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
