Department Definition
On behalf of Expo 2020 and Her Excellency, the Integrated Operations Office delivers the integrated delivery programme for the organisation from now until the commencement of the Event. The office drives the organisation through the planning and readiness phases, by integrating all department delivery plans, and sets up a robust structure of governance, command & control for event time.
Opportunity Responsibilities
This role supports the Integrated Programme Delivery team (specifically the Risk and Issues Management workstream) with the coordination of programme-level risk and issues management across Expo 2020.
As the IOO continues to embed a programme risk and issues management culture within the organisation, the successful candidate will be focussed primarily on monitoring Department/FA risk and issues registers within the project management system (MASAR), performing risk data quality reviews and supporting the regular reporting of risk to the various internal governance forums.
Main responsibilities for this role include:
- Support the management of the Expo 2020 Programme Risk and Issues Registers within MASAR;
- Work with the IOO Liaison Managers to ensure that a common approach and standards for risk management are adopted across the IOO and the Departments;
- Work with relevant teams to review key risks & issues, data quality, verifying new additions/updates and following up on incomplete/missing information;
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the programme risks and issues by ensuring they are written clearly with appropriate risk/issue mitigations/action steps well defined;
- Support the coordination of internal operational risk review workshops;
- Support Departments/FAs in determining the most appropriate courses of action for driving resolution to their identified risks (where possible);
- Support in the regular review of programme-wide operational risk and issue analyses to inform decision making and identify trends;
- Support the coordination of Issue Resolution Groups (IRGs) as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

4+ years of experience with risk management in a corporate environment, as well as:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field;
- Experience in developing complex processes and communicating these to end users;
- Good project management experience and knowledge;
- Advanced knowledge and practical use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
- Strong communication skills (including presentation skills);
- Flexible, resilient and positive through organizational growth and change;
- Ability to self-manage projects within set deadlines and parameters.
