Job Description

An Assistant Nurse plays a crucial role in healthcare, providing essential support to registered nurses and other members of the medical team. They are responsible for ensuring the comfort and care of patients by assisting with daily activities and monitoring patient health. Assistant Nurses work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics. As an integral part of the healthcare team, Assistant Nurses contribute to the wellbeing of patients, aid in medical procedures, and ensure that all care guidelines and standards are met. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care by assisting in daily activities like bathing and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, and promptly report any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Support registered nurses in administering medications and treatments as needed.
  • Ensure patients' comfort by providing necessary comforts and addressing needs promptly.
  • Help in the transportation of patients within the facility to different departments.
  • Document patient information accurately into electronic health records systems.
  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies in an organized manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement effective patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and ethical standards set by the facility.
  • Participate in continuous education programs to advance nursing skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and valid certification.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or patient care setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and be on feet for long periods.
  • Excellence in providing compassionate care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing healthcare environments effectively.
  • Basic proficiency in operating healthcare-related software and technology.
