Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in management, strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation using effective and student-focused pedagogical approaches.
- Contribute to the review, development, and enhancement of the strategy and entrepreneurship curriculum, ensuring alignment with contemporary academic standards and market needs.
- Conduct, publish, and disseminate high-quality scholarly research in the candidate s area of specialization.
- Apply and demonstrate sound knowledge of research methodologies in both teaching and scholarly activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives and pursue external research funding where appropriate.
- Participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and supervision of research projects.
- Represent the University of Kalba in national and international conferences, academic forums, and professional associations related to strategy and entrepreneurship.
- Foster engagement with industry, startup ecosystems, and community partners to support student internships, innovation projects, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Contribute to college and university service, including committee work, academic advising, and governance activities.
- Engage in outreach initiatives that support the university s mission and enhance its societal and economic impact.
- Stay informed of developments in strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation, integrating cutting-edge research into teaching and curriculum design.
Desired Candidate Profile
The University of Kalba invites applications for a qualified and motivated Assistant Professor of Management in the College of Business Administration. We seek candidates holding a PhD in Management or a closely related field. Priority will be given to candidates with primary teaching and research expertise in the areas of managing change and innovation, organizational analysis and design, strategic management, entrepreneurship, creative thinking and problem solving, and innovation management.
- PhD in Management, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- A strong research and publication record in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- At least three years of teaching experience at the Assistant Professor level or in an equivalent academic role.
- Proven ability to implement innovative, student-centered, and technology-enhanced teaching practices.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Clear commitment to professional development and remaining current with developments in strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English (required).
