Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

* Prepare in-house landscape design studies, test fits, concept sketches, and design visions to inform project strategies.

* Develop preliminary layouts, diagrams, and presentations for leadership review.

* Support the creation of design narratives, storyboards, and visual material for internal and external use

Assist in managing and coordinating the overall landscape design and development process in collaboration with the wider projects and delivery team, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability.

* Coordinate with external consultants to ensure compliance with design briefs, leadership direction, and standards.

* Review consultant outputs at concept, schematic and detailed dewsigm stages, providing feedback and recommendations.

* Support preparation of design briefs, RFPs, and scopes for consultant appointments.

* Ensure all designs maintain a high level of quality, aligning with project programs and approved direction and design intent.

* Assess and evaluate consultant design work for compliance with approved design briefs, leadership direction, relevant codes, regulations, and best practice standards.

* Align landscape design projects with company objectives, project requirements, and industry standards.

* Monitoring, organizing, and ensuring the required quality and timeliness of the design production, and stakeholders work on projects of all scales.

* Identify and address potential design challenges, proposing effective solutions to maintain project br>
* Perform design reviews throughout the design process from conceptual design through schematic and detailed/contract documents.

Desired Candidate Profile

A successful Associate - Landscape Architecture should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in landscape design, preferably within the UAE/GCC.
  • Experience in both hands-on design production and design management/coordination.
  • Familiarity with public realm, open space, and waterfront design projects.
  • Exceptional design aesthetic sensibility, executed on various projects, including hardscape, softscape, site furnishings, wayfinding, signage, and landscape lighting design etc. for mixed-use developments.
  • Strong design skills with ability to produce hand sketches, digital layouts, and concept visuals.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp/Revit.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate consultant design processes while contributing creatively.
  • Knowledge of sustainable landscape practices, planting design, and green infrastructure principles.
  • Knowledge of native and adaptive plant species sustainable landscape practices, and green infrastructure design principles.
  • Strong understanding of local and regional landscape design practices.
