Merchandise Planning & Analysis Deliver category sales, gross margin, and sell‑through targets. Participate in the development of sales budgets and forecasts using trend and historical data. Monitor business performance and recommend actions to maximize sales and profitability. Identify sales, margin, and assortment opportunities at department level. Inventory & Allocation Management Build and maintain merchandise plans using market insights and customer trends. Manage replenishment, inventory levels, and forward buys in line with Open‑to‑Buy (OTB) targets. Identify slow- and fast‑moving products and act quickly to mitigate risk or maximize opportunity. Plan and execute markdown strategies and stock movement between stores. Cross Functional Collaboration Work closely with Buyers, Store Managers, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Marketing (VM). Communicate trading issues, performance updates, and forecasts to senior management. Partner with suppliers to monitor delivery performance and ensure product quality. Process & Performance Improvement Drive improvement of merchandising processes and decision‑making at division and store levels. Ensure alignment to company mission, values, and policies.
