Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Purchase Operations • Generate system-driven order quantities and place accurate orders with principals and suppliers to ensure optimal stock availability and turnaround. • Monitor bi-monthly ordering cycles and ensure timely negotiation and placement of orders. • Follow up with principals and suppliers for timely delivery and coordinate with logistics for cost-effective and urgent shipments. • Handle supplier correspondence, inquiries, and quotation preparation as directed by the Parts Manager. • Implement effective replenishment mechanisms to prevent stock-out situations. • Review inventory regularly to identify slow-moving and non-moving parts, ensuring lean inventory and appropriate pricing strategies. • Coordinate with the Pricing team for parts pricing updates and system maintenance. • Conduct field visits and collaborate with the Sales team to identify new product requirements. • Plan and finalize new parts orders for upcoming models and ensure availability during product launches. • Identify vehicle-specific parts using EPC, online parts catalogs, VIN, and chassis numbers. Strategy & Development • Contribute to the development and implementation of best-practice procurement strategies, policies, and processes to enhance business performance. Procurement Management • Manage end-to-end procurement of automotive spare parts (OEM and aftermarket). • Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop local and international suppliers. • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, delivery schedules, and contracts. • Ensure procurement aligns with budget, demand planning, and sales requirements. • Continuously improve procurement processes to drive cost savings and operational efficiency. • Identify procurement risks, assess business challenges, and implement mitigation strategies. • Maintain and update procurement policies, guidelines, and documentation. • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs for quality, delivery, cost, and compliance. • Manage supplier relationships and renegotiate contracts to optimize commercial outcomes. • Prepare management reports, track KPIs, and monitor cost-saving initiatives. • Ensure procurement activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. People Management • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing procurement and cost-estimation teams. • Set departmental objectives and KPIs and review team performance regularly. • Report performance outcomes and implement improvement actions as required. Financial Management • Manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost control and financial accountability. Stakeholder & Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align procurement activities with business strategy. • Communicate market trends, supply risks, and cost-effective solutions. • Support new business initiatives and assess their impact on procurement operations. • Assist senior management in maintaining effective client and supplier relationships. Self-Management • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture. • Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges. • Take ownership of continuous improvement and professional conduct. • Remain self-motivated and effective under pressure
Desired Candidate Profile
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing within the automotive spare parts industry. • Strong exposure to OEM, aftermarket parts, and international sourcing. • Experience in the UAE/Dubai market is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills. • In-depth knowledge of automotive spare parts and inventory management. • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement tools. • Excellent English communication skills (Arabic is an advantage). Education • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an added advantage
