Core Duties

• Lead and manage audit engagements with emphasis on internal controls over financial reporting
• Assess risks, review controls, and suggest alternative testing strategies when controls are ineffective
• Apply professional skepticism to identify fraud risks or misstatements and communicate findings to governance bodies
• Participate in group risk assessments and prepare clear referral instructions for component auditors
• Conduct timely reviews of audit files, ensuring completeness and compliance with audit methodology
• Review internal control deficiencies, assess severity, and report findings with recommendations
• Guide audit teams through scoping, scheduling, and responsibilities to meet client and firm deadlines
• Ensure compliance with international accounting and auditing standards, ethical requirements, and regulatory frameworks such as COSO and SOX
• Provide independent assessments of financial reporting processes and support modified opinion situations
