Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Conduct end‑to‑end financial audits in accordance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, and internal audit methodologies to assess the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial statements.

  2. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls across key financial cycles (revenue, purchases, inventory, payroll, fixed assets, cash & bank) and identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and areas of financial risk.

  3. Perform substantive testing and analytical review procedures to validate account balances, transactions, and disclosures as part of the annual audit process.

  4. Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing observations, non‑compliances, financial misstatements, and recommended corrective actions to strengthen financial governance.

  5. Collaborate with finance, operations, and management teams to obtain audit evidence, understand business processes, and ensure timely completion of audit procedures.

  6. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and assess improvements in financial controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

  7. Support statutory and regulatory compliance by ensuring adherence to UAE Corporate Tax Law, VAT regulations, ESR requirements, and other applicable financial reporting standards.

  8. Assist in risk assessments and audit planning by identifying high‑risk areas, materiality thresholds, and audit priorities for each engagement.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; a Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.

  2. Professional certifications such as CA, or Semi CA are highly preferred and demonstrate strong technical competence in financial reporting and auditing.

  3. 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in financial auditing, preferably within an audit firm or corporate internal audit department.

  4. Strong understanding of IFRS, internal controls, audit methodologies, and financial risk assessment.

  5. Experience in sectors such as trading, manufacturing, real estate, or services is beneficial for understanding industry‑specific financial risks.

  6. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

  7. Strong communication and report‑writing skills to present audit findings clearly and professionally.

  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven audit environment.
