An AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD software for various construction and building projects. This role requires a high level of precision and an understanding of engineering and architectural specifications. The draftsman works closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate their designs into accurate drawings that guide the construction process. The ideal candidate will have strong spatial awareness, technical acumen, and excellent attention to detail, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and regulations. This position demands ongoing collaboration and communication to ensure the timely completion of projects and necessitates a balanced mix of artistic creativity and technical proficiency.

• Develop detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD software according to specifications.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to gather relevant project criteria and data.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to established building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Revise drawings based on client feedback and project changes or evolutions.
• Maintain detailed records of designs, specifications, and revisions for reference.
• Assist in preparing estimates, bills of materials, and project budgets as needed.
• Analyze technical documents and regulatory guidelines for project accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical support and guidance during the project's design phase.
• Produce three-dimensional models and simulations to support project presentation needs.
• Coordinate with other drafters and project team members to streamline workflow.
• Keep up-to-date with developments and changes in AutoCAD technology and practices.
• Identify potential issues in designs and collaborate on solutions to rectify them before construction.

• Associate degree or higher in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant drafting tools and programs.
• Minimum of two years of experience in drafting or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent spatial awareness and ability to visualize three-dimensional forms.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
