Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman with strong proficiency in Rhinoceros (Rhino) to support our design and engineering team.

The ideal candidate will produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for concept development, design documentation, and fabrication purposes. You will work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings.


Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Rhinoceros (Rhino) software.

Convert conceptual sketches, CAD data, or design briefs into accurate technical documentation.

Assist in design development, visualization, and rendering of models using Rhino and related plug-ins (e.g., Grasshopper, V-Ray, etc.).

Ensure all drawings and models comply with company standards, technical specifications, and industry codes.

Revise drawings based on feedback from designers, engineers, and clients.

Collaborate with fabrication and construction teams to ensure designs are buildable and technically sound.

Maintain organized drawing files, revision logs, and drawing registers.

Support the design team with presentation drawings, exploded views, and material specifications.

Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural) when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and 3D modeling.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhinoceros 3D (knowledge of Grasshopper or V-Ray is a plus).

Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, or fabrication drawings.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience with other design tools (e.g., SketchUp, SolidWorks, Revit) is an advantage.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in architectural design, product design, marine design, furniture, or industrial fabrication.

Familiarity with parametric modeling or digital fabrication workflows (CNC, 3D printing, laser cutting).

Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
